It was yesterday March 31, 2014 at the Institut Universitaire en Santé Mentale de Québec (Quebec’s Universitary Institute for Mental Illnesses), that Komutel participated to a spinning challenge in support of Clara Hughes’s Big Ride, organized by Bell for a stigma-free Canada. « As part of Clara’s Big Ride, Clara Hughes will cover 12,000 km and visit 95 communities along the way. Clara’s Big Ride will help grow awareness, acceptance, and action to create a stigma-free Canada. «

The challenge consisted of a 2 hour spinning in teams of 5 participants. Our Business Development Manager responsible for healthcare in Quebec, Michel Rodrigue , has built a team  and pedaled for the cause, among other businesses, community representatives, students and others. They cycled a total of 71 km.

All funds raised during the activity were given to these local organizations:

  • Fondation de l’IUSMQ
  • Fondation du CHU de Québec
  • Centre de crise de Québec
  • Centre de la Famille de Valcartier
